Open editor windowįrom the shell window, you need to open an editor window. This will ensure it is ever present whenever you wish to launch. If you haven’t already, drag the IDLE icon from your Launchpad down into the dock. This is the first window you see when you launch the IDLE application. Click on your account name in the left sidebar. You can change some Mac startup programs in the part of the OS that manages user profiles.
How to change Mac startup programs in System Preferences. To start, we need to open the python shell window. Fortunately, disabling Mac startup apps isn’t difficult. To most, this may not be immediately obvious. Its worth spending a bit of time describing how to use IDLE.
